Coaches’ Voter Registration and Engagement Resources

Last updated August 7, 2020

The ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge in partnership with the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) is providing voter education, registration, turnout, and advocacy tools and resources to support the engagement of college athletics in the democratic process. Within this resource hub, we encourage college coaches to engage in the following capacities:

  1. Connect with the Coaches’ Voter Task Force
  2. Take the Coaches’ Voter Registration and Engagement Pledge
  3. Sign-up for the ALL IN Newsletter

Follow the drop down menu options below for each of these items.

Coaches' Voter Engagement Resources

Go to the NABC Coaches’ Task Force website to find local and national partners that can help support planning and implementation of democratic engagement on your campus and, in some cases, provide additional resources. The Students Learn Students Vote (SLSV) coalition has also put together this list of resources.

Coaches' Voter Task Force

Core team of coaches who work alongside ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge and serve as a resource for fellow coaches.  Will require an hour of training the week of July 20 and being available to support coaches in your state/region. At this time, the members of the Coaches Task Force have been confirmed.

Coaches' Voter Engagement Pledge

The Coaches’ Voter Registration and Engagement Pledge is to support nonpartisan voter engagement efforts with your student-athletes who are eligible to vote. Coaches who sign this pledge will receive the playbook and resources, regional Task Force contact information and guidance on connecting with the civic engagement office on your campus.

Coaches' Voter Engagement Playbook

In August 2020, the Coaches’ Voter Engagement Task Force will be releasing the Coaches’ Voter Engagement Playbook to support the engagement of student athletes in the democratic engagement process. Until the release of the Playbook we encourage engagement with the ALL IN Virtual Democratic Engagement Toolkit for campuses to learn more about strategies and creative ideas for virtual and in-person learning.

ALL INsider Newsletter

Sign up for the ALL INsider to receive the playbook and other resources. This is a great option for individuals who are interested in learning about and supporting student voter engagement but not ready to make the Coaches; Voter Engagement Pledge or to serve on the Coaches’ Voter Engagement Task Force, at this time.
